Let me explain what that means to me in plain terms……
I am in my early 60's! Like many others, my personal life has been peppered with ups and downs and yoga has really helped me deal with these stresses and obstacles more calmly, with focus and balance. It has given me a complete health management system for the mind and body.
Yoga can help us to become more flexible, physically stronger and improve our stamina and awareness. I create an environment where students feel valued, safe, respected and have a sense of peace.
What to expect
I encourage and support all who honour me with their presence at classes or one to one sessions. I create a space where you can just 'be you', to start your journey at any level of fitness; there is no judgement, no need for designer yoga attire, just loose fitting clothing to enable movement will be fine.
I am a qualified First Aider to add to the commitment I have to the safety of my students.
I combine creative sequencing, tailored to the need of the students, with a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help deepen your practice. Where possible I use subdued lighting to create an ambient environment to help deepen your practice. I seek to help others to thrive in life by nurturing body, mind and soul with yoga and my hope is that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.
I would love to work with anyone who has thought about Yoga before, but never perhaps had the confidence to try it. You may also feel self-conscious and that's exactly how I felt. My purpose is to sweep aside all stereotypes of Yoga and welcome you with open arms. I am passionate about helping others and once you start you will never look back!
